Facing detention in the name of fashion

Marrow's waiting outside the principal's office for wearing shoes in clear violation of the dress code.  But she figures if she has to wear shoes, they may as well be monstrous!!

This character seems to be my fashion muse lately! Hahaha. I saw some teeth mary janes on my tumblr dash by the artists Fantich & Young, and I knew I needed to illustrate them on Marrow's feet.  So I took inspiration from the aforementioned artists and designed a Dr. Marten's-esque fusion with the teeth.  I've had some family tragedy/drama going on lately and it seems that drawing Marrow is sometimes my only reprieve and activity that lifts my spirits. I'm still working on the sports day piece.

I'm trying to learn how to color and this is my first (crappy) attempt at a background ever. ;_; and I lined this pretty lazily because I've been doing lines very painstakingly lately so I needed a break.
